Getting started with Flying Pigs

Install

• Flying Pigs Free: in WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New, search for Flying Pigs Uploader, then install and activate it. Or get it from WordPress.org.
• Flying Pigs Pro: download the Pro plugin with your license key from the download page, upload it under Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, activate it, and enter your license key. Pro updates then arrive through the Plugins screen.

Your first upload

1. Go to Media > Flying Pigs Uploader.
2. Drop files or folders on the page, or use Browse or Browse folder.
3. Pick a media folder if you use a folder plugin, and check the run options.
4. Press Start upload.

The defaults work for almost every site: every image size is made in your browser, the original is optimized, and a WebP copy is added. The summary card at the end says what landed and how much smaller it came out.

What you need

• A desktop browser: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Firefox or Safari 16.4 or later.
• A site on HTTPS. Without it the page still uploads, but WordPress makes the sizes on the server, and the page header says so.
